Who is the little copywriting house?
My name is Tor Brierley and I am the little copywriting house. After graduating with a degree in Literature, and a Masters degree in writing fiction, from the University of East Anglia in Norwich, I began my career in an online ad agency.
Keywords and SEO were my bread and butter, but they didn’t leave much time to pursue my real passion, which has always been writing. It was time to make a change!
From here I became an online editor and social media specialist for a national public body before ultimately becoming an online editor and print journalist for a national magazine, honing my copywriting skills and discovering that my years as a grammatical pedant were actually a useful, and transferable, skill!
In 2012 I pursued the British shopkeeper's dream to be my own boss, and have more flexibility over the wide range of topics I could write about, helping a host of companies improve their business by improving their copy.
Since then I have created copywriting plans and social media campaigns for national magazines, and rewritten websites for fashion retailers, estate agents, and a whole host of businesses in between. I write fully optimised blogs every week for clients I have been working with for years, and create social media updates for luxury fashion brands, as well as not-so-luxurious B2B brands.
I love being a copywriter: I love what I do.
I have lived all over the world, from London to Beijing, but there’s nowhere I love more than Norwich. I work from my home office, in my own little copywriting house, creating content for a global audience. I also write my own travel blog (a passion project) which you can find at That Mum Travel Life.
